American Legion Scholarship – Maki-Pinola Post #535 This $250.00 scholarship is available to any senior enrolled at Northeast Range High School full time and is planning on attending a 4 year college or accredited technical college Babbitt-Embarrass Women’ Club Scholarship This $500.00 scholarship is available to any senior enrolled at Northeast Range High School full time and is planning on attending a 4 year college or accredited technical college. Babbitt Lions Club Scholarship This $500.00 scholarship is available to any senior enrolled at Northeast Range High School full time and is planning on attending a 4 year college or accredited technical college. One scholarship is given to male senior and one scholarship is given to a female senior. Babbitt Men’s Club Golf Scholarship This scholarship is available to any senior enrolled at Northeast Range High School full time and is planning on attending a 4 year college or accredited technical college. Jay Mattila Memorial Scholarship This $200.00 scholarship is available to any senior enrolled at Northeast Range High School full time and is planning on attending a 4 year college or accredited technical college. It is given in memory of Jay Mattila by his parents. Northeast Range Faculty Scholarship This scholarship is available to any senior enrolled at Northeast Range High School full time and is planning on attending a 4 year college or accredited technical college. This year three scholarships are being awarded from the proceeds of the faculty fund raising efforts. Ely Area Credit Union This scholarship is available to any senior enrolled at Northeast Range High School full time and is planning on attending a 4 year college or accredited technical college. The Tower Fireman’s Relief Association Scholarship This scholarship is available to any senior enrolled at Northeast Range High School full time attending a 4 year college or accredited technical/community college. The student must reside in either Tower, Greenwood Township, Soudan, Kugler Township, Vermilion Lake Township or Eagle’s Nest Township. Jack Banovetz Scholarship The Jack Banovetz Scholarship has been given since the early 1980’s in memory of Jack Banovetz who was a speech clinician in our district. Education Minnesota, St. Louis County, Local 1406 administers this scholarship program. Seniors enrolled at Northeast Range High School full time who plan on attending a 4 year college or accredited technical college are eligible to apply. East Range Athletic Scholarship This scholarship is available to any senior enrolled at Northeast Range High School full time and planning on attending a 4 year college or accredited technical/community college next year. The student must have participated in a varsity sport during high school. The scholarship is awarded after the completion of the first semester of college if the student has earned a 2.5 GPA. This scholarship has its own application that is available in the counseling office. Jake Forsman Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is available to any senior enrolled at Northeast Range High School and planning on pursuing a career in the blue collar trades through full-time courses at a vocational/technical college. The student must be an energetic, hard-working, friendly youth that is committed to his/her vocation. Applicants should have a GPA of 2.0 or better. A letter of recommendation from an employer is a must; either from a formal job or an informal job such as babysitter, farm worker or lawn mower. This scholarship is given in memory of Jake Forsman who was an industrious young man. |
