Ryan Lindsay Welcome!

Library Media and Science, specifically in the biological sciences at the high school level, are my certification areas. I also help supervise technology at Northeast Range. This year, I will be teaching a STEM robotics course, 7th grade Mass Media, 8th grade Mass Media and Elementary Library and Computer Lab Skills. Beyond the classroom, I am looking forward to helping out the Knowledge Bowl team and coaching the Robotics team.

After growing up in southern Michigan, I attended University of Wisconsin - Madison for a B.S. in genetics. After college I worked for 2 years at Baylor College of Medicine on the Dictyostelium discoidium genome project in a biochemistry lab. Pursuit of my wife lead me to the west coast of Washington State, a year in telecommunications sales, a Master's in Teaching Science from Western Washington University in Bellingham, a year of teaching at Anacortes High School and a marriage license. We then returned to my wife's childhood home in northern Minnesota and I began my career with ISD 2142. Since arriving in Minnesota, I earned a Library Media Specialist Certificate from St. Cloud State.

My current hopes for students involve fostering an appreciation for the wilderness opportunities we have readily available, improving technology literacy and building robots.
